Our History
Iceberg Mechanical is a family-owned HVAC business since 1993. At a young age, Paul W. Hamel, son of Italian Immigrants Paolo and Maria Hamel grew up with a very clear understanding of hard work. Paul started his business when he was only 19 years old and built Iceberg Mechanical from scratch. He began servicing and repairing window units out of the trunk of his Father’s Bonneville in 1993. From a car’s trunk, to a van, then to a pickup truck and finally, to his shop in Brooklyn. By the end of 1990’s, Iceberg Mechanical has become a premier HVAC contractor in NYC.
